Shopping in Bucharest (VII) – Dan Coma – Showroom

Our visit ends at Dan Coma’s astonishing workshop. “Too much of a good thing is wonderful” said once Mae West and too much of Dan Coma’s leather is incredible. You will forget Louis Vuitton from the moment you pass his door. The place is practically a Shoe&Leather museum. Dacoma showroom is located at the ground floor and the workshop at the semi-basement. (Address – 4 Constantin Prezan Boulevard – near Arc de Triomphe).

Dan Coma is a leather magician. His permanent presence in the workshop allows him to control the handmade production processes and to assess leather reaction after every stage. There you will find shoes, business cases, handbags, wallets, travel accessories, exotic hide belts, trunks, jewelry boxes, jewelry rolls, travel trays, rucksacks. If nothing pleases you there is always plenty of room for your own imagination of a leather object. No matter if you are dreaming of a custom alligator trunk or a monogram rifle holster backpack, Mr. Coma can make it real. The hide selection is huge: python, alligator, croc, pig, calf leather, pony, stingray, ostrich and so on.

The semi-basemend is, in my opinion, even more interesting. On his narrow corridors you can see 19 century tools, old photographs, vintage riding boots, leather curiosities, medieval lasts or miniature shoes of famous people. A true shrine dedicate to leather…
